Added in a later update, Arena Match is a type of mode that features the same structure as a Ranked Match - with no items and a best-two-out-of-three rounds - that allows a player to connect with up to four different players per lobby to take turns fighting each other in one-on-one matches (while the rest spectate). This game mode also includes the option to turn off any and all unwanted Stages in the random rotation. Arena Match can be played in Friends, Local or LAN Mode; however, it doesn't utilize split-screen play.
