Assassin Apprentice Memory 04 -- The Pupil

Our next memory is located right near the South Constantine Den -- where we unlock the memory The Pupil -- who tells you that he, too, is an Assassin.  You need to do a little demonstration for him and give him an Assassin's race...


Recruiting The Pupil

Basically unless you are not very good at running and jumping, climbing and hopping, this so-called Assassin will not be your competition -- the really bad controls will.  It may help you to use very exaggerated movements with this if you run into trouble like not jumping when you should, that sort of thing.  There is no greater buzz-kill than to have your character drop down the edge of the roof and then pull himself back up even if you hit the 'B' button to drop, or do a jump and then roll thirty feet off of the edge of the roof in a move you never ever see it do normally.

That is the nature of the controls in the game however, so it helps if instead of hurrying you actually take your time.  This guy is no real competition so as long as you are even a little ahead of him you can take your time, really.


Recruiting The Pupil

When you get to the end of the race you get a nice CS where he tells his girlfriend that he really is an Assassin -- and you only sort of cover for him, telling him to show up early in the morning at Galata Tower to begin his training for real.
