Jackdaw Upgrade Blueprints
Treasure dives is a way to not only gather treasure but also upgrade blueprints for the Jackdaw. Dives can only be performed at certain predefined areas of the map, once the player has unlocked the diving bell.
Take Down Forts
In total there are 11 forts of varying strengths scattered throughout the game. Taking down a fort will provide you with a new port and a number of naval contracts.
Study Ships
Make sure before you attack another ship you study it extensively using the spy glass. Think about whether the ship bears the material that you require, and whether it has a strength level that you are able to handle. The best strategy is to target single, isolated vessels, with low-level strength, which will provide you with the specific materials that you desire.
Jackdaw Resources
Resources can be collected after successfully attacking enemy ships. Stockpile cloth, metal and wood, rather than selling them as cash can be generated from the various missions and activities whilst there are only a few limited means of obtaining materials for the Jackdaw.
Jackdaw Upgrades
In order to make upgrades to the Jackdaw you will require an abundance of cash and supplies. Cash can be found by completing side-quests, and searching treasure chests and corpses of fallen enemies.

Ive actually found that the animals randomly spawn. For example an island that had a dog on it when I returned there was a cow. You just have to get lucky. Good luck |

You can pet the same dog over and over until you get the challenge. Find one dog on any of the islands and you are good. I think there is one in Havana and I know there is one in the Pirate Home Base. |

Use of the harpoon is like all ranged weapons in the game. As you do with the blowpipe or pistol, you hold down L1 to activate weapon, aim using right joystick,fire using R1. Sail to a harpooning spot, whale, shark,etal and hold down the "O" button to stop and enter the harpooning boat. Once in the boat follow the firing instuctions above. The first strike will hook your prey and begin towing the harpooning boat. Subsequent strikes will kill it. Good Fishing Lads! RRRRRRRRRRRR HA HA RRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! |
