You’ll be fighting the optional bosses again in this chapter but with a catch; they’ll be in different groups which will make the battle a lot more challenging. Head to Centro Keep and talk to Ominas to trigger this battle.

Bahamut deals heavy fire damage to a single target using Pico Flare while Ominas can use basic black magic which can deal a considerable amount of damage. He can also inflict poison to the entire party or sleep to a single target so it will help having a Salve-Maker to use Widen Area and Inoculate, as well as a white magician job or support command to deal with the removal of the status ailment while healing at the same time. |
You should target Ominas first since he can cast Fire on Bahamut, healing it. You can nullify the elemental damage if you have a Spiritmaster character or job command as well. Like before, having a Performer can also set things up for your party at your own pace. |
After depleting Ominas’ HP, the battle will pause for a bit and more enemies will join the fray.

Heinkel will provide protection to his allies and will act as a wall if you target his allies. Barras will be the group’s main physical offense while Ominas, now with higher HP will pummel your party with elemental damage and various status effects. You need a Pirate or piracy support to lower Heinkel’s defense and magical defense, then use some high level magic against him to bypass his physical defense wall. |
