Bertolt Hoover (Colossal Titan)

Bertolt Hoover was a character in the manga and anime series Attack on Titan. He was an Eldian born on the continent of Marley and along with other Eldian children participated in the 'warriors' program in order to obtain one of the seven titan powers in Marley's possession. He was a graduate of the 104th Training Corps and went on to join the Survey Corps.

Berthold is revealed to be the Colossal Titan and is part of a plot to eradicate the 'remainder of humanity'. Being possessed with the ability to transform into the Colossal Titan within the walls made Berthold one of the greatest threats to humanity. When Berthold transforms into the Colossal Titan he grows to a height of about 60 meters and appears heavily deformed, he lacked skin and his jaw and facial structure was heavily altered from his human form. He would also be constantly releasing jets of steam from the surface of his body.

In human form, Berthold was a quiet, weak willed person who was tall with a slender build. He had short black hair, green eyes, and an elongated face. He would usually wear his Trainee uniform, but once he enlisted with the Survey Corps he used their uniform. Shortly before the Battle of Shiganshina, Bertolt underwent a change in character, he became detached, indifferent and cold, allowing him to become ruthless and fulfill his duty more efficiently. Berthold was eventually killed when Armin's Pure Titan devoured him.
