BirdCodes

Rovio has revealed that over a billion codes have been printed on products around the world which can unlock 24 pieces of exclusive content, this includes mini-games, powerups, special characters and an additional movie clip that is not in the Angry Birds movie.

Scanning BirdCodes

1) Open the Angry Birds Action! game.

2) There are four circular icons on the left-hand side of the screen. Tap on the icon with an Angry Birds face.

3) If you have not allowed the game access to the camera, it will ask you to now. Allow access.

4) A camera screen that says 'scanning' will appear.

5) Keep pointing your phone at the BirdCode until the scanner recognises it.

6) Your new content will now be unlocked.

Theatre

If you watch the Angry Birds movie at a theatre an inaudible digital watermark will play at the end of the credits which will unlock Piggy Island from the game along with an exclusive clip from the movie. To view this clip open the game when you see the red Angry Bird logo on the screen (see below).

LEGO Sets

LEGO has released six Angry Bird sets with each have a BirdCode you can scan to unlock an exclusive mini-game. These codes can be found on the last page of the building guide. The qualifying sets are 75825 Piggy Pirate Ship, 75824 Piggy City Teardown, 75826 King Pig’s Castle, 75823 Bird Island Egg Heist, 75821 Piggy Car Escape, and 75822 Piggy Plane Attack.

McDonalds

On the sides of cups, wrappers, trayliners, and Happy Meal boxes you will find BirdCodes that unlock exclusive 'Whack-a-Pig' mini-games. There is also a feature once you have scanned the codes that allows you to to take selfies with Angry Birds characters.

PEZ Candy Dispensers

Scan the BirdCode on Angry Birds Movie PEZ dispensers to unlock an exclusive virtual PEZ candy flying game.

H&M Clothing

You will be able to find BirdCodes on Angry Birds clothing in H&M which you can scan to unlock exclusive content.

Retailers

Retailers such as Walmart and Toys R Us will have scannable BirdCodes on display which can unlock exclusive powerups, characters, and a key to a mystery box in the game.
