This unit sucks in bloons, popping a layer before blowing out the remainder. The number of layers the Bloonchipper can remove, speed, and even the type of bloons that can be sucked is affected by upgrades.

Upgrade Path 1

Strategy

This unit is very effective in trapping bloons while also "damaging" them. Placing multiple Bloonchippers in key locations can pretty much prevent any Bloons from escaping.
A 4/2 upgraded Bloonchipper can effectively trap the blimp bloons (BFB, MOAB, and ZOMGs) and reduce them to their lesser forms rather quickly.
If a Bloonchipper sucks up a Ceramic Bloon, it will not spit it out until the ceramic shell is removed (regardless of upgrades)
Try out the Glaive Riccochet and Bloonchipper combo. This upgrade allows the Boomerang Thrower to throw a glaive that bounces from bloon to bloon as long as there is one close by.
It's possible for an ejected bloon to be absorbed immediately by the bloonchipper , effectively trapping them in a loop until the bloon is destroyed.
