Builder Base Guide

This section of our Clash of Clans guide deals with the Builder Base which is the update first released by SuperCell on May 22nd 2017.

The Builder Base is access by clicking the boat at the bottom left of your main base in the water (You return to your main base the same way, by clicking the boat).

Here you have one Master Builder and a new location for a separate base where you can battle 1vs1 for Trophies and winning loot prizes. Currently you can get up to six win rewards every 24 hours. You can get more, but it means using Gems. Understandably many users are already frustrated with this limitation so who knows, in the future, SuperCell may do something about these limits.

In your first battles, we suggest you simply close the gap in the existing wall by moving it over, thereby protecting your cannon a bit, then make all the upgrades you can before upgrading your build base town hall.

Once you have however upgraded your builder base town hall you unlock a heap of new options and weapons, more wall! yay! and the ability to remove the junk around your base, leaving you able to make a complete wall around your base and some weapons.

Take note of the Star Laboratory, which is the research building, it's really important to upgrade your troops and that will also unlock things such as allowing your camps to hold more troops.

You should also build that second army camp as soon as possible.

In terms of your base defenses, spread them out, and mix them in with standard buildings to force archers and other units to target them as well as the weapons.

When you have unlocked it, get a tesla up and running as soon as possible as it is the best way to knock out the beta minions.
