Call of Duty: Warzone is a free-to-play battle royale video game that allows online multiplayer combat among 150 players. It is a standalone companion game to 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare that does not require purchase. Call of Duty: Warzone is set in the fictional city of Verdansk and features both cross-platform play and cross-platform progression between both games. It also features two modes, Plunder and Battle Royale, and introduces a new in-game currency system called Cash which is used at Buy Stations in and around Verdansk.
Pre-Game XP
Before the actual match begins you can grind some XP on your weapons by getting kills in the in-game lobby, a pre-game 'warmup' mode which allows you to get in some practice before you load up.
Shoot Enemies while Parachuting
In Call of Duty: Warzone you can shoot people while you are still in the air from the initial plane ride. If you open your parachute and then close it again you will draw your weapon and will be able to shoot at any enemies that are near you whilst you plummet towards the ground. You can open your parachute multiple times when dropping from the plane and at any other time during the game when you're far enough from the ground.
Don't Forget to Ping
Call of Duty: Warzone has implimented a Ping system that is similar to the one that is used in Apex Legends. This handy sonar is enabled by the touch of the Ping button and will allow you to identify loot, locations, and enemy positions. It is particularly useful for instantly notifying your squad of an enemy presense. This can be easily done by double-tapping the Ping button.
Shopping Trollies
The little shopping trollies you see on your map indicate a Buy Station which you can visit and use the cash that you earn in the match from kills and collecting loose cash from looting to purchase things like additional armour plates, the a Self-Revive Kit , or other useful bonuses. Spend your Cash
You need to spend your cash early and often. Make getting the Self-Revive Kit at $4500 your priority. After that get what you want, there's no point hoarding it because if you die you lose it, even if you come back via the Gulag.
Share the Cash
You can see how much cash your teammates are holding in Warzone by looking at their status in the bottom left of the screen. Make sure you share around the cash you loot with them so everyone has enough currency to buy you a redeployment from the nearest Buy Station if you are eliminated. Item Rarity
The items in Call of Duty: Warzone are colour-coded by rarity which generally indicates their quality. White is common, green uncommon, blue rare, purple epic and orange legendary. The rarity of an item also indicates the number of attachments or perks that it has, up to a maximum of four. In Call of Duty: Warzone contracts are side-objectives that you can pick up in the field that enable you earn some extra cash and resources.
