This will become available as a Public Works project. Only one can be constructed and it can’t be demolished so pick the place where you want it built very carefully. This serves as a temporary lodging for a visiting non-resident villager who you can convince to move in and stay in your town by continuously talking to them and eventually defeating them in their mini-game.

Mini-Games

Charades

The villager will act out as an object and will provide some clues. He/she will repeat it again to give you more time to guess what he/she is acting as. After that, choose from the list of objects that best fits their clues. If you get it right, they’ll move in; otherwise, you’ll get minor penalties.

High / Low Card Game

In this mini-game, the visiting villager will draw a card between 1-9. You must guess if the card’s number is higher or lower than 5. If you guessed all cards correctly, you’ll get the villager’s item for free; otherwise, you’ll pay for it at a much higher price. Having more correct guesses will lower the villager’s item cost.

Pick the item price

The villager will pick one of the items in your inventory. You will then be presented with four cards. Pick a card and the payment you’ll get for the selected item will depend on the card you selected.

Mandatory Purchase

The villager will offer five items for sale. Select the item that you want to buy. You can skip the items you don’t want; however, you’ll be forced to get the last item if you can’t make up your mind.
