Chalice Dungeons

Chalice Dungeons are optional dungeons for players to explore anytime in the game. These dungeons offer quite a unique challenge to the players as its layout and difficulty changes every time it is accessed. Aside from the varying difficulty in the dungeons, these also offers players a chance to get rare items while inside the dungeon.

Chalice Dungeons also allows players to share their layout with friends by going online.

To start accessing dungeons, players will have to obtain the Pthumeru Chalice first and then perform a Chalice Ritual. The Pthumeru Chalice is an item you will get once you have defeated the Blood Starved Beast.

When it comes to using chalices, you will find three of the available chalices to use for dungeons in the game, while the rest of the chalices can be found while inside the dungeons. The difficulty level of each dungeon is also widely determined by the type of chalice that was used—the higher the number of the depth level, the more difficult the dungeon will be for players.

Once you are ready to enter a Chalice Dungeon, you will have to teleport to the hunter’s Dream and perform a Chalice Ritual infront of a tombstone. It is important also that you have at least two Ritual Blood with you.

Again depending on the chalice that was used, each dungeon usually has around three to four levels in it—with each dungeon housing a boss inside. Some bosses are the same as the ones in the game while the rest are unique to the dungeon.

While exploring dungeons, you may also come across special coffin-like chests which holds very valuable items like rare ritual ingredients, rare blood gems, and even rare Weapons—these rare weapons are usually labeled “Lost” or “Uncanny”.

When it comes to fighting enemies, Summoners will play a large role in every battle. Just like in the main game, it is important to find the Summoner and defeat it immediately to avoid having more and more monsters come at you.

There will also be several levers scattered around the dungeons which players may use in order to access lower levels of the dungeons. There are also several traps in the area which make dungeon exploring a whole lot harder. There may also be hidden walls which players may destroy for surprises.
