This chapter picks up right along Crime Alley–the infamous place where Bruce’s parents were killed. Alfred shows up and presents a paper about more news about Bruce’s family being tied to the mob. After Alfred shows you this, we chose to say that all this can’t be true. Then you demand the truth from Alfred. Then he tells you that Bruce’s parents were billionaires and they had to compromise one way or the other. To this, we chose to respond with saying that all his money has never corrupted Bruce.
Alfred confirms that he is proud of you and goes on to tell you that Bruce’s father, Mayor Hill, and Falcone were indeed partners.
Alfred explains that he had wanted to leave Bruce’s father for a long time. But because of the tragedy that happened, which left Bruce all alone, Alfred says that he couldn’t bear to leave Bruce all alone in the world. He asks for your forgiveness, and we respond by acknowledging him as family. Alfred will remember that answer.
After that, Alfred tries to help you remember what really happen. You admit that the thug, Joe Chill, simply got careless. So you try to investigate the area and try to relive the past. You approach the side alley and say that you want Joe Chill to appear right before your eyes. When Alfred asks what you, or the batman, would do if Joe was around, we simply chose to ask “Why?”. After this, you learn Joe Chill was killed in prison. Then you move on to inspect a graffiti in the alley. Then a scene of your past flashes right before your eyes and you say that you can’t imagine seeing your father as a criminal.
As more flashback scenes continue, and as you continue to investigate the past, you finally remember what your father said about Falcone making a mistake right before Joe Chill shoots Thomas in the head. Then you finally realize that the event wasn’t a simple mugging but an assassination. Now you are determined to pay Falcone a visit at the GCPD
