Children of Morta is a narrative-based roguelike hack’n slash RPG game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC that revolves around the adventures a family. The Bergson family has watched over Mount Morta for generations as the guardians of the mystical mountain. They now face their most dangerous trial as a family. Corruption has spread, morphing the once peaceful mountain into a violent and monster infested nightmare. Your objective is to help the family of Bergsons defend Mount Morta against the Corruption. Choose a Ranged Character

Choose a ranged character in Children Of Morta as melee attacks can leave you exposed and vulnerable to unnecessary damage. We recommend that you pick Linda as she is an excellent archer and has a better overal skillset than Lucy the other ranged character who is a fireball casting mage.

Always Upgrade your Character

Unlike other games which encourage you to hoard your gold in hopes of finding exquisite items for sale later it is important in Children Of Morta to spend your gold purchasing upgrades for your character every time you take a trip to Berguseon's House.

Building your Skillset

Children Of Morta is a rouge-lite that allows you to gain several powers by collecting runes as you travel across the mountain. These runes are your primary source for building your skillset and it is important that you experiment with each one you find to discover what the most effective combinations are before deciding which runes are worth your time.

Play with all Characters

Make sure you play with all the available characters. Not only do characters get 'Corruption Fatigue', but levelling all characters is beneficial because of their Family Traits. Check out our Skill Guide to find out what unique skills each member or the Bergson family possess.

Rage Mode

Combine Rage mode with other abilities. If you do this you can make some characters that are otherwise weak, very powerful. Check out our Rune Guide to see how they can increase the strength of a characters attack or ability.

Collect Everything

It is important that you pick up every rune, Devine Relic, and research tablet that the game offers while exploring the map in Children Of Morta. Although collecting some of these items will be dangerous you really don't have a choice as they are needed to prepare you for challenging boss fights and other combat sequences that you encounter later in the game.

Take Advantage of Glowing Gates

During your travels in Children Of Morta you will come across glowing gates, these can be used for respite from pursuing enemies as they will not be able to follow you through them. Although the enemy cannot pass your ranged attacks will still be able to pass through and inflict damage on the enemy on the other side. Take advantage of this by luring hoards of enemies near the gates and then flee to the other side where you can attack them in safety. These glowing gates will also often be passageways that lead to rooms of loot so alway make sure you explore them.

Red Triangle Symbols

Keep an eye out for red triangle symbols on the ground. These will start to light up the more enemies you kill near them. Once they light up completely, they will drop runes, Morv and other items.
