This is the game’s main entertainment venue found in Main Street. During the day until early evening, you can find Dr. Shrunk. Bring him any kind of fruit and he’ll teach you an Expression/ Emotion once a day. In the evening, you’ll find DJ KK Slider performing. You can dance during his party sessions or sit in and listen to his acoustic sessions during Saturday nights.

Opening the Club

To get the club operational, you have to meet two requirements:

• Earn your Town Development Permit

• T&T Mart should have opened (Nookling Junction second upgrade/expansion)

Once you met the requirements, Dr. Shrunk will visit you outside your house the next time you load the game. He will ask for your permission to build a club in Main Street. Giving him permission will allow you to move to the next part, which is collecting 6 signatures from the townspeople. No bell is required to build the club if permission was granted this way.

If you declined his request, the club will be available as a public works project though this time, it will cost bells to construct. You will still need to go through the signature collection process if you selected this option.

After getting all the necessary permissions, find Dr. Shrunk outside where the Club will be in Main Street. This is just beside Nook’s Homes. After talking to him and handing over the signatures, you have to wait for 4-8 days before the construction is completed and the establishment opens to the public.

Emotions/ Expressions

Dr. Shrunk is the owner of the club and will have his own comedy performances. Once a day, you can bring him any fruit and he’ll “perform” in front you, teaching you a new emotion / expression at the end of the performance. You’ll receive a joke book as well where you can store the learned expressions. This appears in the menu, next to the Cat icon at the bottom of the touchscreen. There are 40 expressions / emotions to be learned.

Songs

During Saturdays, you’ll find KK Slider performing some acoustic sets. You can talk to him and request a specific song by title, by mood or request an entirely random song. After sitting in throughout the requested song, he will give you a copy of it which you can put in to your radio/ player (if you have one) or hang the copy in your home’s wall. You can only take one copy home per week but you can sit in and listen to other songs should you wish to do so.

During DJ KK’s performances, players can dance by pressing the DPAD buttons and they can also swap the Gyroids on stage with what they have in their inventory.
