Code Vein is an open-world action role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic dystopian environment and played from a third-person perspective. The world has fallen to a mysterious calamity known as the Great Collapse. In order to fight the monsters that began emerging around the world humanity created the Revenants: human corpses brought back to life by implanting a Biological Organ Regenerative (BOR) parasite within the heart, acting as vampiric fighters with unique abilities. Team up and embark on a journey to the ends of hell to unlock your past and escape your living nightmare. Code Vein is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You have two weapon slots in Code Vein, one ideally for your preferred damage-dealing weapon. A good choice for your second weapon slot is a bayonet as it has a strong attack and is a ranged Ichor (magic) projectile which makes it effective for clearing enemies from a distance that are waiting to ambush you.
In Code Vein you are able to swap between two weapons. None of the enemies you encounter in the game are weaker to specific weapons so experiment with the different weapons available and pick the ones you like.
It is recommended that instead of trying to split up your limited ore between your two weapons you instead focus on building one really strong weapon by putting all your materials into it. Specializing in one weapon and getting all the upgrades for it will make you stronger in the end.
Make sure you break everything in your way as there is a chance that the boxes and debris you come across could conceal a secret path. These are easy to spot and even if they do not reveal an alternate path they will more than likely contain bonus loot.
It is crucial that you pay attention at all times in Code Vein as there are enemies virtually everywhere waiting to ambush you. Being vigilant and looking everywhere will not only help to keep you alive it will also help you find secret paths that are hidden below you. These alternate pathways which often turn out to be shortcuts tend to be found on the underside of cliffs and dead ends and are accessed by dropping to them.
Make sure you always have at least one decent projectile, spell-type Gift at your disposal regardless of the weapon or Blood Code you use. Gifts allow you to perform unique actions such as buffing and healing your companions, debuffing enemies or dealing direct damage to enemies. Used correctly a projectile Gift can instantly change the tide of battle, you just need to find one that hits the enemies in your current dungeon the hardest.
