Introduction [Intro] =============================================================================== Hi and welcome to my Early EXP Farming FAQ. This FAQ will guide you to get an early, easy EXP farming in the game. This is my first guide for 2016 and the first one since the last guide I did back in 2009 (Gambling FAQ for GTA: San Andreas PS2 version). It's been 7 years! Main Content =============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A. Pre-requisites [Req] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This EXP farming is best done in Chapter 4. After beating an Eater in Shinjuku's Digital Shift dungeon during Chapter 4, you'll be back in the Kuremi Detective Agency. Check the white board and accept the case "A Life Crisis!?" with a blue pin. Before exiting the agency, head to Kowloon Lv. 2 by interacting with the TV. Once there, get a 200% scan for a Wanyamon here. Go to the DigiLab and use the scan to acquire a Wanyamon. Wanyamon is used for acquiring a Digimon that gives a hefty amount of EXP when used in battle. Do this 3 times so you have 3 Wanyamons. Put them in your party and exit Kowloon Lv. 2. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B. Farming Location [Loc] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Exit the agency and head left. Go all the way south to see a place where you can Connect Jump. Interact it with the X button to be taken to a Digital Space network. I recommend you not to finish the case as you can always come back to it and level your other Digimons. This dungeon has 5 Digimons to be encountered in total. This is where you level your 3 Wanyamons. On the first level, you encounter 3 Digimons: Greymon, Dorugamon and Peckmon. All of which give 548 EXP when killed. Your target Digimon is PlatinumNumemon. There are a lot of ways you could get him but I recommend you use this digivolution path: Wanyamon > Kudamon > GoldNumemon > Vademon (for Nightmare III) > de- digivolve to GoldNumemon > PlatinumNumemon The reason why you need to Digivolve to Numemon before going to PlatinumNumemon is for its Nightmare III dark skill (learned at Level 45), which helps kill the Digimons in this dungeon. ----- NOTE: This EXP farming will take a couple of hours but once you have 3 PlatinumNumemons in your party, leveling your other Digimon will become a lot easier. Having 3 Tactician USBs for each PlatinumNumemon (a total of 9) will yield a bigger EXP gain. ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C. Hunting for the Tactician USBs [Hunt] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tactician USBs are equipments that boost the EXP gain after battles. There a couple of ways to obtain Tactician USBs: +++++++++++++++++++++++ NAKANO DIGIMON FESTIVAL +++++++++++++++++++++++ - as a case reward for completing "Nakano Digimon Festival" case (DLC 3 case - install the "Mission Pack 1" DLC to unlock this case.) ++++++++++++++ VICTORY UCHIDA ++++++++++++++ - In Chapter 19, head to Shinjuku. Use your Stealth Hide hacking skill and enter the 2nd area. Approach him near the Digital Shift entrance to receive 1 Tactician USB. +++++++++++++++++++++ KING DRASIL MINI-BOSS +++++++++++++++++++++ - In Chapter 20, you'll have 4 encounters with this mini-boss (one before you go into the King Drasil Core). On your last encounter with it, there's a big chance it drops 1 Tactician USB). ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ PLATINUMNUMEMON ENCOUNTERS ++++++++++++++++++++++++++ - boss battle from DLC 3 case (possible drop). - encounter at Tokyo Metropolitan Office 48-49F. There's a slim chance that you get to encounter him at 36-40F too. - Legendary Cup. This becomes available after clearing Platinum Cup in the Offline Coliseum and reaching Chapter 16. This is one of the battles where the PlatinumNumemon joins PrinceMamemon and MetalEtemon (guaranteed drop). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- D. DigiFarm Development [Dev] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can also get Tactician USB in the DigiFarm via the DigiLab. At Chapter 1, you will only have access to 1 farm island but as you go farther into the game, you will find Farm Development Kits through chests that is used for adding more farm islands into the game. Farm Expansion Plugin is for increasing the farm level, and increasing the number of farm goods that can be placed. For me, this one is a little harder. I've had so many tries developing Tactician USBs before getting at least 1 of it. Prepare at least 151,000 Yen (assuming you've made it farther into the game, no Builder Digimon and no Developer Know-How) Development Patch: 2,500 Yen x 10 = 25,000 Yen Developer Know-How: 25,000 Yen x 5 = 125,000 Yen 1,000 Yen Dev't: 1,000 Yen x 1 = 1,000 Yen ------------------------------------------------- TOTAL: 151,000 Yen STEPS: 1. Fill at least 1 farm island with 10 Builder Digimon. If you need to change their personalities to "Builder", access EDEN and go to EDEN Entrance. Go north and interact with the shop on the left. Buy the Development Patch (costs 2,500 Yen and is available on Chapter 2). Change the Digimons that will be placed in the farm to Builder personality. 2. Go to DigiLab and interact with the shop. Buy 5 Developer Know-How (costs 25,000 Yen and is available at Chapter 1). 3. Go to your DigiFarm. Use 2 or more farm islands if you can (recommended). This will speed up the process and greater chances of getting the Tactician USB in one go. 4. Pick Farm Goods and place your Develop Know-How farm goods into each slot (each level of the farm increases the number of slots available, up to 5). 5. Pick Command then Develop. Choose the 1,000 Yen option. 6. The table belows show the completion time of each development based on the number of Builder Digimon you have on a farm. ___________________________________________________________ | # of Builder Digimons | Completion Time (in minutes) | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Zero | 100 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | One | 95 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Two | 65 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Three | 50 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Four | 40 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Five | 35 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Six | 30 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Seven/Eight | 25 minutes | |-----------------------|----------------------------------| | Nine/Ten | 20 minutes | ---------------------------------------------------------- If you're successful in developing Tactician USBs, you should get at least 2 per farm island, assuming you have 10 Builder Digimons and 5 Develop Know-How goods. This requires a bit of luck, because it's a rare chance for your Digimons to develop the item. =============================================================================== 5.
