How to fish in Animal Crossing Pocket Camp
The latest Animal Crossing, Pocket Camp, is in fact a mobile game, and it’s time to get your camping gear in check and set out for the great outdoors. As is usual with these games, you can do a variety of outdoor activities like foraging, bug catching, and fishing. Here’s how to fish in the game.
Aside from Bug-catching and foraging(for fruits and Bells) in the game, you also get to fish while exploring the outdoors in this game. Fishing is one way to procure key items that your animal friends would most certainly request while playing the game -- so knowing how to properly get that line set and when to reel it really matters.
Fishing in the game though is not that complicated at all. All you have to do really is get near a body of water and your character would surely pull out a fishing rod which will then allow you to actually perform this activity. Now all you have to do is go near the fishes (denoted by shadows swimming in the water) and cast your line. Wait up as they tend to be fishy doing all sorts of frantic movements that'll make you worry about reeling in the line. What you need to do is wait for the exclamation point (!) to show up before actually reeling in the line. That's all there is to it!
Where to catch fish?
Salt Water Fish can be found in the "Saltwater Shores". Just approach the shore to get you fishing rods automatically equipped by your character. It is hard to determine what kind of fish you'll be getting everytime but usually, there are kinds which you'll commonly be able to catch. Rarer fish also tend to break free from the line so it won't be easy to collect them. Other than that, you may also end up reeling in common squid instead.
Use a "Fishing Net" to automate the process of catching fish
You may choose to spend 15 Leaf Tickets using a "Fishing Net" to somewhat automate the whole process of fishing. Using this method will earn you a multiple catch (of different kinds) at a time too! Other than that, you may also choose which type of net to use. "Large Fish Net" will get you several fishes, while the "Medium Fish Net" will get you a combination of small fishes, corals, squid, shells, and conches. It is important to know that using this method of fishing is a great way to catch rare types of fish in the game too.
