Fishing Tourney

Occurs: 12:00PM – 6:00PM, Every 3rd Sunday of January, March, May, November, and December.

This contest awards the Fish Trophy to the villager who will be able to catch the largest fish during the 6-hour time period and gives it to the Town Mayor Tortimer. Don't have your own Fishing rod? Relax, talk to the Mayor and he will provide you one for this special day. Talking to the Mayor will also provide you hints on how large is the current leading fish, and will get you a furniture item if you are able to catch a bigger fish than the last one that you have caught.

To easily win the tournament, open up your gates and start Fishing after 12:00 PM as you will get the chance to catch more Fishes as the other villagers are resting in their homes. As much as possible, catch either a Stringfish, Tuna, Coelacanth, Red Snapper, or Sea Bass. Make sure to close your gates before 6PM, then run up to Mayor Tortimer and present your entry.
