Red Abilities = These are activated after selecting them in the Abilities menu during a battle
Blue Abilities = These are support abilities that will only take effect after assigning them to a character. If you change to a job whose specialty is the same as the support ability you equipped, it will be removed automatically.
Ability | Level | Effect |
Examine | 1 | Display enemy information like current HP, elemental weakness and family. After examining, you can move the circle pad to the left during a battle to view the information again. The examined target's HP can be monitored real-time. However, if the battle has been interrupted by a scene or if the battle enters a new phase, you'll have to examine the target again to view its HP. |
Treat | 2 | Restore one ally's HP by 20%. This ability can be used even in silence state. |
Divining Rod | 3 | Displays the number of unopened treasure chests within the dungeon in map screen. |
Dungeon Master | 4 | Avoid damage and status ailments from tricks, traps and other dungeon hazards. This effect applies to all allies so you only need to equip this ability to one character. |
Mislead | 5 | Lower your chances of being targeted by enemies to the lowest level possible |
Prayer | 6 | Make chance-based abilities 1.5 more likely to succeed for 10 turns. |
MP 10% Up | 7 | Raises max MP by 10%. |
Endure | 8 | Raise the user's P.Def and M.Def by 25% for 4 turns |
Poison Immunity | 9 | Makes the character immune to poison during battles. |
JP Up | 10 | Earn x1.2 the normal amount of job points. This effect does not stack with similar effects from items. |
Flee | 11 | Always succeed in escaping from battle. This won't work on boss battles. |
Lure Enemy | 12 | Double the enemy encounter rate. Effects from the same ability does not stack |
Stand Ground | 13 | 75% chance of surviving with 1 HP when suffering damage that would result in K.O. This won't happen if the HP is already 1. |
Mimic | 14 | Perform the same action as the previous one, whether it was your own or an ally's. No HP, MP, BP, pg or items will be consumed. |
