Friends

The main purpose of Friends in Car Town, apart from to show off your great Garage and cars to, is to hire them to work for you! Look in the bottom right hand corner of the screen and you should see an icon representing Workers. The number next to it indicates how many you can hire. This number increases the more you level up to a total of 8.

You can see a list of the levels at which you get more workers below:

Unlock more Workers:

Level 3: Worker 2 and Worker 3
Level 6: Worker 4
Level 11: Worker 5
Level 16: Worker 6
Level 21: Worker 7
Level 26: Worker 8

Having Workers allows you to go on Road Trips, enter Car Shows and take more jobs in your Garage, with Workers and Friends staffing extra Work Bays.

Sponsorship:

You can Sponsor some of your Friends' garages by clicking the Sponsorship icon in the middle at the bottom of the screen. This allows you to give their Garage a cash-injection and, if they perform well enough, receive a healthy Coins reward.

Gifts:

You are able to send your friends gifts, completely for free, to help them in their Car Town experience. If you do so, they are more likely to return the favor and send you some - if you can get to a position where you are having gifts coming in all the time, it can really give you a boost.

Fuel is one of the best gifts, as it can really give your Friends an edge.

Service Trucks:

Every so often you will come across a Service Truck broken down near your Garage. Click on it and post it to Friends. This is the only way to get these vehicles and for Friends who ned it, it can be a valuable addition. They are also likely to return the favor, allowing you to get the vehicle yourself.

Rusty:

You start the game with Rusty as a friend. This is to simulate what happens if you recruit real friends into your game. You can visit Rusty's Garage, challenge him to races, and generally perform many of the tasks that you can with real Friends.
