If my memory serves well, I remember one near the Power Plant, or near Vermilion City.

You can also get them from Lass Dana by registering her number, she'll call you and tell you to pick it up once she gets one. Don't forget Bill's grandfather. You can get one by showing him certain Pokemon in a certain order, though the Thunder Stone is last.

Lickitung - Everstone
Oddish - Leaf Stone
Staryu - Water Stone
Growlithe - Fire Stone
Pichu - Thunder Stone

1.Beat Lass Dana.
2.Register her # by talking to her once deafeating her.
3.Every once in a while, she'll call you about an item. That's Thunderstone!

Oh also to get Leaf Stone, Fire Stone, Water Stone, do the same with these fellows....
1.Schoolboy Alan, Route 36
2.Picknicker Gina, Route 34
3. Fisher Tully, Route 42
