Tracking your troops
You keep track of your squad of mercenaries via a satellite tactical map. The missions that your army will be taking on can range from search and destroy to assassinations and combined arms engagements.
Choosing Weapons
The main strategy of the game is deciding on how to upgrade your weapons and gear and picking which battles to fight based on the different equipment you have at hand. The different missions will require you to use different maneuvers and approaches to route the enemy so you must select your weapons accordingly.
Caution Mode
When entering hostile territory use Caution mode to approach the enemy unseen. Although you will move slower the caution motion control will allow you to stealthily creep up to and eliminate the enemy.
Conserve Ammo
You will only have a limited supply of bullets so it is important that you utilise them so you have enough ammo for the entire mission. Remember that it is not always necesary to kill all the enemies in a mission if you need to save ammo.
Route Target Marker
A good tactic once you have set your route target marker is to drag the blue route line to change the shape of your path. When doing this try to find a route that avoids passing through the enemy lne of sight as this will allow you to sneak up on the enemy from behind unseen and make an easy kill.
Buildings
Two buildings you should keep an eye out for are the ammo depot and sniper forts. The ammo depot will allow you to restock your ammo and the sniper forts are situated in locations that will enable you take out enemies in the vincinity using a sniper.
Long Range Enemies
Take out longer range enemies by finding a sniper post, for this to be effective though your squad must reach one without being spotted by the enemy.
In-Game Purchases
Although Black Command is a free to play game you will be able to accelerate the upgrades of gear and weapons by making in-game purchases through micro-transactions.
