I got my expn card from the man at the radio tower but the radio won't show up on my Poke'gear. Do I have to beat a certain number of gym leaders to get it working? I need it to get past the Snorlax. What do I have to do to get my radio working?

No you don't have to beat a certain amout of gym leaders! It should work once you awnser the 5 questions from the lady at the raidio tower, use up and down or side to side (can't remember been awhile since I played it) because you have to tune it to stations but other than that I have no idea sorry hope I helped
first go back to johto. go to goldenrod city. go inside the radio tower. go up to the counter. there will be a lady there. talk to her and she will ask you 5 questions. once you answer the questions. she will give you the radio card and there you go! you have a radio card and the kanto radio will work on your pokegear. then you go back to kanto and find snorlax infront of digletts cave which is south of lavander town. and then go to pokegear and the pokeflute station should be near the end. then go out of it and press *a* on the snorlax and you will battle snorlax! hope this helps!
First do the powerplant mission. Then go to the kanto radio tower. SA!
Same problem here.
I went to Kanto -> radio tower and fixed it -> got the EXPN card and realised I never picked up the actual radio in Johto, so I went back to Johto and answered the 5 questions there and got the Radio but it still doesn't work. The lady tells me to check the radio so I can't answer the 5 questions again since she believes she already gave me the radio, but if I go to PokeGear and open the radio it shows no radio stations and I can't control anything. The radio is basically there in pokegear, but it's empty...
I have the feeling it's bugged and I'm going to be stuck on the Snorlax... :-(
You don't need the radio to get past Snodland. If you deliver an item from the old man in kano radio tower to the director of goldenrod radio tower, you will receive a poke tar. Go back to the snorkax, press a and it will ask you if you want to use it to wake snorkax.
