How do I give my sims a hobby?

You have to buy something for your Sims to have fun with; ghost hunting equiptment, Guitar, ballerina cd, kriarti mat and dummy, easil, football, Mirror, star gazer you can buy all these things when you get the Hobby store

The equipment (apart from the ghost furniture) only help you to level up in your Jobs. E.g. Artist = Easel. They aren't hobbies. Well not to my knowledege

Well If you have a preteen in the sport center they can get Ballet or Karate Hobby. If you are a sim Adult go to Park and fish. Or buy for your home in decorations a spooky thing and you will be come a ghost buster

I'm level 22. With what I've unlocked so far, here is a list of hobbies (with their Items) I've identified.

Adult Sims:
Fishing - large platform in Park; click near the fishing rod
Fashion Design - buy workstation from Hobby shop
Ghosthunting - any item of furniture with the "spook" symbol

Pre-teen Sims
Karate - click on dummy or boards in the youth centre
Ballet - click on bars or Dance space in the youth centre

With the exception of the Fashion item (so far, at least) the other stuff in The Hobby Shop is *not* to get a Hobby, but to help Sims advance in their Jobs.

There are other Activities, in the Park (BBQ, speech-making, chess or t'ai-chi) or in The Nightclub (cocktail mixing, djing), but these don't seem to be hobbies.

If you want one of your Sims to be a ghostbuster, just buy something with the "spook" symbol on it. Use it, and your Hobby will be ghostbusting! There's a few more hobby choices, too, but that's just one of them. Hope it helps!

I own the Park but I can't go Fishing. I clicked on the polee but nothing happens. My sim isnt even there at tje park with me.

For an Adult to be a Ghost Hunter, all you have to do is buy furniture with the ghost Symbols on them. To go Fishing, take a sim to the Park and click on the pole or the lake. To be a Fashion designer, you need to build The Hobby Shop and buy the workplace. Does anyone know how to do Tai Chi at the park?

Well, I believe, a preteen must master a Hobby (Karate or Ballet) in order to grow to an Adult. One of my 4 preteens r level 5/6 with 97%!!! Almost there!

My two Sims didn't argue. The icon just popped up, so inclicked it. Curious
Anyway, no one moved out, I t hunk you can if you WANT to. But they kept living in the same house. I think it's because, they (EA) doesn't want you to be blue to get a free house. Sneaky.

After getting a divorce you have to click on an empty house and pay to relocate that sim.

Ghost Hunter-buy a piece if furniture that has the red ghost icon in the bottom corner. Place it in your home and click in it and choose hunt for ghost.
Fishing - build the Park and then go to it. Then bring up your list of Sims from bottom right corner. Choose a sim and click on the whistle, that will bring them to the park. There is a fishing pole on the dock, click on it and choose an option.
Diving - build the sports center, go to it, click Sims list, use whistle, click diving board, choose option.
Fashion designer - you think you get that from "Promotions `r` us"
PRE-TEENS- I think they only have two options: Ballet and Karate.
Ballet - you have two options 1) have enough online Neighbors (Facebook) to add a record player to your house. 2) build the SPORT CENTER, there is a record player already there.
Karate - two options 1) enough Neighbors for practice dummy. 2) Sport center.

I've placed a ghost item in my home, but when I click it, the SIM just shakes their head, says "nuh-uh" and has a red circle with a line through it pop up above their head. Why?

Because you have to move the item. The sin can't get to it, he's blocked somehow

Hi you need to buy a building in your town like The Snow Park, or the Swimming centre or for instance I bought the community centre. Once it's built click on it and you will find yourself in the community centre then use your simtracker to bring your Sims there. Once your SIM is in the community centre you can click on the Karate body or wood planks, the Ballet CD player thing or the woodwork desk and it will come up with different options, choose how long you would like you SIM to do the activity then come back when they've finished they're task. Now look on the Hobby button thing and it should say they have a hobby and what level they're on! Hope this helped!

Hey what hobbies are there for toddlers? Can't find any.. Butit says no Hobby beside her name suggesting that she can have one

Some of the things at the promotion r us store have hobbies like the Fashion studio and lots of the supermarket Items to. You can also go to the Park and have a SIM fish at the bridge. I am pretty sure that only the Fashion Studio is a Hobby at the Promotions r us. Your best bet for hobbies: supermarket

When you get the Park, on one of the bridges you will see a Fishing pole. Click it and fish that will give you a Hobby (fishing)

Another Hobby is if you have the stands and a Horse and you clean up the Tricks area or the other areas at the stable it will also be a hobby.

You can swim, woodwork at The Community Center, and ice Skate.

Cooking is a Hobby use the stove and start cooking. You will need it for Competitions.

Cooking is a Hobby. I just kept cooking all the food and it became her hobby.

Find your Sim a hobby like thing to do. Say a Stove. Click on the Stove and then click 'Eggs and Bacon' and your Sim will be cooking in no time! Once they finished cooking, your sim would have a hobby! Hope you like it! Lollipop meeee out
