is there a way to make a pokemon unlearn hm moves? surf, cut, flash etc.

Yeah. There's a Move Deleter in Blackthorn City. He can delete any moves a pokemon has leared, including HM moves.
There is a move deleter in the last Gym city in Johto, that would be Blackthorn City.
Yes there is go to the move deleter and talk to him he will say "i can delete any move." thats when you pick the pokemon that you want to forget an HM and press a on the HM he will ask "Do you want to delete this move?" you say yes. then the pokemon will not have the move anymore.
Is this in Pokemon crystal? Because thats the game I have?
The move deleter in Black Throne city can delete any moves, including Hm's. Also, the daycare can delete Hm's if you leave the Pokemon in there and run around a while for it to level up and learn a new move, tho this is very unreliable and the move deleter is definitely better.
