The first DLC wave is now available and on top of Emblem Bracelets, you’ll also be able to collect the Silver Card - a key item that permanently lowers the price of items sold in the in-game shops by 30%. If you’re one of the players who purchased the Expansion Pass, then this guide is for you. In this Silver Card Guide, we will discuss how you can claim the Silver Card, a key item that’s part of the first DLC wave.
Fire Emblem Engage is a latest installation for the critically-acclaimed Fire Emblem series, offering a fresh approach to the tried-and tested tactical, turn-based JRPG formula fans have seen in recent years. Players are treated with the return of the Triangle System, weapons with no durability, and of course, the fresh new Emblem/Bond Ring mechanic.
As mentioned above, the Silver Card is part of the first DLC that permanently applies a 30% discount to all items and weapons sold in your base’s Item Shop and Armory respectively. That is a huge discount that considerably lowers costs of more expensive weapons and items, and you can use your savings on purchasing other stuff your team needs or just donate them to the regions to improve their item drops and spawn rates of special enemies. This is also why it is important to acquire this item as early as possible, especially if you purchased the Expansion Pass earlier.
Unfortunately, the Silver Card is not automatically added to your inventory and can be missable if you’re not familiar with the method of acquiring it. There are two methods of acquiring it. The first one is relatively “missable” but in case you missed getting it the first time around, you’ll still have more chances of getting it though it will require some luck and tinkering with the system time. That’s why getting it in the first run is highly recommended.
Your first chance is also when you have to clear Tiki’s paralogue to get her Emblem Bracelet. Make sure to bring someone with Celica’s Emblem equipped since Warp (Ragnarok) skill is required in getting the item.
Before starting the battle, scout the area first. Tiki’s chamber is in the northeast corner of the map but it’s locked. To unlock it, you need to step on the two sigils in the middle and northwest chambers. Now, between the two chambers is a pond with a shining object on its shore. There’s no opening or doorway to reach that item so that’s where Celica’s Warp ability comes in.
Basically, you need to save her Engage mode and fight your way until you reach the middle chamber. Clearing the middle chamber and stepping on the sigil there will open the northwest chamber. While the item by the pond is closer in that chamber, I highly recommend teleporting from the middle chamber to avoid accidentally unlocking Tiki’s chamber and forcing them to go out and intercept your group. Once you’re close enough, Engage Celica then warp to the pond. It doesn’t matter where you land, as long as you get the unit in the pond area. From there, you just need to make him/her reach the item and step on the tile to collect the Silver card.
If you missed the first chance, your only other chance is to wait for a skirmish encounter to spawn on Tiki’s map (Dragon Temple). Skirmish encounters are random and are affected by how many hours have passed as detected by the system time. Thankfully, you can just manipulate this by adjusting your Switch’s system time. Simply access the Switch’s settings, turn off internet clock synchronization, then adjust the time by hours at a time. You may need to return to base and go back to the world map to “refresh” the enemies that spawn in the overworld.
Once an enemy spawns in the Dragon Temple, simply start the battle and you’ll immediately start in the middle of the map, which brings you quite close to the pond area where the Silver Card will be. Since you don’t have to worry about sigils and locked chambers anymore, you can just focus on taking out the enemies in the middle chamber, send the unit with Emblem Celica near the pond and use the Warp ability to reach it and finally collect the item.
After getting the Silver Card, you don’t have to do anything else. It will be added to your Key Items and will stay with you for the rest of the game. If you have the Expansion Pass, prioritize getting the Emblem Bracelets and this card to make your gameplay experience a lot easier and smoother.
