Thats really just up to you. Just about any team of Pokemon trained to the right level can beat the Elite Four. Just train your favorite Pokemon and make sure their at least level 60. Though I do suggest you have a team that can take on Ice, Fighting, Ghost and Dragon types.
Its all up to you... But I reccomend you take Articuno{lvl 60}, dragonite{lvl 60}, you're Charizard {lvl 63/65}, a good electric Pokemon { it could be raichu, joteon or even electabuzz of level 63 at least to take out you're rivals blastoise} the other two can be according to you're liking and preference. I defeated the four with this team pretty easily quite few times.
Team building is not only about preferences, but also their usage, as well as value according to the batle.
For Charmander Starters, I would recommend:
1. Charizard (Thats your Starter)
2. Gyarados (Fish it out as Magikarp, and give him to the day care guy for a while, until level 20)
3. Electabuzz/Jolteon (Evolve eevee with thunderstone/ Get electabuzz at Power Plant)
4. Rhyhorn / Nidoking( Ryhorn is present in Safari Zone, if you can wait, and you can catch Nidoran(Male) in the early routes of the game, level him up, and use the moon stone you found in Mt. Moon)
5. Dragonite (Fish for a dratini in Safari Zone middle pond, or buy one at Game Corner)
6. Snorlax (Celadon City west exit and Vermilion-Lavander East Path)
Since there are 7 HMs: Cut, Fly, Surf, Strength, Flash, Rock Smash AND Waterfall,
Teach Fly to Pidgeot, Cut to Nidoking, Strenght to Snorlax, Surf to Gyarados, Waterfall to Gyarados or Snorlax, and Rock Smash to Electabuzz.
NOTE: Charizard AND DRAGONITE ARE NOT TO BE TAUGHT ANY HMS.
Hope this helped. :D
The best team for fire red with Charmander Starter would be
1 Charizard
2 Pikachu/raichu
3 kabutops
4 hitmonlee
5 espeon
6 snorlax (you can also have pidgeyot as an unofficial member so you can Fly around)
Ok so here's a team that doesn't take much grinding and it's easy to obtain. I don't include egg moves or move tutor moves unless they are available before the Elite Four. Also I don't like to use legendaries or sudo legendaries but you can change up the team to your own liking. Have fun!
