Bravely Default Cheats and Tips

The following abilities are only available from Nemesis and will not show up on D's journal.

When you complete the game the 'New Game Plus' option will become unlocked. In 'New Game Plus' you will retain the level, items, special moves, jobs, job level, funds, Genome abilities, Norende village population, Norende village status, D's journal, play time, friends, and guests from your previous playthrough.

The alternate way to unlock this hidden trailer is to complete Chapters 5 through 8 without breaking any crystals so you earn the 'The End' true ending. When you then complete the game the 'Special Movie' option will appear at the 'Title' screen when the completed saved game file is used.

At the 'Main' menu highlight the bottom of the four '?????' options and press Up(2), Down(2), Left, Right, Left Right, B, A. If you entered the code correctly a voice will yell, 'Tiz!' as confirmation and the bottom option will change to 'Special Movie'.

Is is common knowledge that the job summoner is to expensive (with mana) in the beginning of the game. It is getting usefull in midgame, but in end-game everbody thinks it's useless.

According to my findings it's true if we are talking about the primary job. As a secondary job however, it can be quite devastating.

Most people are trying to combine summoner with a spellcasting primary job. Which is logical since the Summoner job relies a lot on the M.ATK/INT of your character.

There is however a way to strenghten your summons' power by increasing your M.ATK with you P.ATK.

What you'll need (minimum requirements):

1. High base level

2. Monk LV14

3. Spell Fencer LV14

4. Vampire LV6 (LV14 Recommend)

Do this:

1. Primary job: Vampire

2. Secondary job: Summoner

3. Abilities: Knuckle Lore (Monk), Natural Talent (Monk), Phantom Weapon (Spell Fencer)

4. No equipment

Phantom weapon add's the P.ATK of your character to the M.ATK the moment you use a spell. Knuckle Lore and Natural Talent increases you P.ATK a lot. If you are maxed out, you've gotten at least 500 P.ATK! When using the vampire, you can also drain your opponents of their MP and thus healing your MP.

And incase of really low MP. You can always attack physically, though it's attack will be a bit lower.

NOTE: You can also use Black Magic, instead of summoning, though don't recommend it (Arcanist with Black Magic is a better combination).

The following costume become unlocked when you complete the corresponding task.

Bravo Bikini (Edea):

Defeat Fiore DeRosso for the second time in chapter 5

Edea's Garb (Edea):

Norende: Level 11 Combat Item.

Knight's Tunic (Agnes):

Norende: Level 11 Trader.

Melodist's Shirt (Ringabel):

Norende: Level 11 Accessory Shop.

Onion Shirt (Tiz):

Norende: Level 11 Armor Shop.

Plain Tunic (All):

Norende: Level 11 Compound Shop.

Vestal Garb (Agnes):

Defeat the Final Boss. ('False' ending only).

When you complete the following tasks in the Demo game the corresponding bonus will become unlocked in the full game.

Caldislan Adventure Set:

Fully restore Norende

Caldislan Black Mage's Set:

Defeat Adamantite Shell.

Caldislan Knight's Set:

Deafeat Automaton.

Caldislan Recovery Set:

Defeat Melusine.

Caldislan Relief Set:

Play the Demo.

Caldislan Soldier's Set:

Defeat Dragon.

Caldislan White Mage's Set:

Defeat Minotaur.
