MULTIPLE ROUTES, BUT ONLY ONE OPTIMAL ROUTE
Deus Ex Human Revolution has been designed in such a fashion that there are usually three approaches to an area: Stealth, Combat, or a mixture between these two. This guide will usually go for a mixture between Stealth and Combat, but explores every area thoroughly and points out possibilities to receive more experience points to effectively grow Adam into a superhuman augmented security specialist.
It can sometimes be tricky to find a balance between holding someone's hand through the entire game, and clearly missing information by describing too little. This guide heavily leans towards a centered approach, but will also provide indepth tactics on enemy and boss patterns, as well as information on several experience bonuses. It will not go over every possible hacking grid, the main reason being that I don't currently have the time to write on this large subject.
if you knock someone out they have between 1 and 5 rounds of ammo on them, but if they start shooting, by the time it's over they've sprayed enough lead to turn the place into a hazmat site. what's up with that.
on the hardest level every boss in the game goes down on the 3rd typhoon blast if you have the heavy damage upgrade. the hyron project is even easier. have the laser rifle and an extra battery. after the cutscene stand against the wall you're next to, put the scope on her and pull the trigger and keep firing. you might have to reload but she isn't going anywhere. on the easiest level 2 typhoon rounds will do it, and at the end when the laser battery is gone so is jao.
I took him down with a stun gun, worked great. While he's stunned, lob a grenade, it's even better if you can lure him to stand next to a red barrel.
The first dude is quite easy if you have a lot of mines which can be found around the room, but take note that these are just templates and must be combined with a grenade (I had about seven). When the fight starts, just hide behind a pillar and keep throwing them at him. While he's stunned just get headshots with something like the pistol. If you run out of mines, then just throw a stun grenade, sprint to him, and use the heavy damage variant of the typhoon (it took me one shot to finish after doing the stuff above). It's actually much easier than it looks... hope it helps!
The first merc OWNED me like the first 5 tries. So I upgraded my typhoon and took him out easily. I only used it on him twice! Same with the second merc. I waited for her to rush me and typhooned her. It was almost too easy.......
