Granblue Fantasy Versus is a 2.5D side scrolling role-playing fighting game based on the Granblue Fantasy franchise. The goal is to eliminate the opponent by using a combination of attacks to empty their character's life bar enough times to win the match. Each character has special abilities called 'Skybound Arts', which correspond to skills that the character is able to use in the main Granblue Fantasy game. Granblue Fantasy Versus also has a RPG mode that features a new story which involves collecting weapons and powering-up your character to gain access to a range of 'Support Actions' such as healing, buffing, debuffing, and special attacks. Overheads Beat Throws
In Granblue Fantasy Versus each of the characters has a universal overhead (B C). This move is not only effective for reaching opponents that are crouching but also for beating throws since you are already in the air when you perform them.
Perform Sweeps and EX Moves for Hard Knockdowns
When you perform these type of moves they will lead to hard knockdowns. Keep this in mind if you want to do mixups.
Perform Anti-Airs for More Damage
Grounded combos will not net you very much damage, especially not midscreen. You can deal more damage with anti-airs. If you are on the offensive you need to be prepared to air-block. Or prefably, use air throws to counter air attacks, attacks with air properties, and backdashes.
Roll or Evade after a Dash
You cannot block right after a dash, so you should either roll or evade (R2 back, R2 front) after a dash instead. You just need to be careful you do not get caught with lows and throws when you attempt them.
During a High Number Combo Easy Inputs have Lower Damage
Remember that when you are doing a high number combo easy inputs will have lower damage. Although entering easy inputs for Skybound Arts (QCF+R1, QC+R1+X) is convenient you will find it more beneficial if you get into the habit of entering real inputs. If you add in an easy input in a long string, your damage output is lower compared to using the actual input.
