Idle Heroes is a free-to-play idle clicker game that incorporates RPG elements in order to create the many characters that are avaiable for you to create. Basically in Idle Heroes the idle gaming aspect takes the place of the usual grinding that is associated with RPG games and in doing so takes away the tedious elements of gameplay.

The first thing you will have to do when you begin Idle Heroes is call heroes at the summon circle to fight for you. This can be be performed free at certain intervals or with the assistance of scrolls, the types of heroes you will be able to get are basic and heroic. Once you have summoned your heroes you will be taken to the campaign portal where you will be able to engage in your first battle.

You now need to fill up your 6 combat slots (2 front and 6 back) from the hero pool through idled battles that have a certain amount of strategy attached to them. If you are able to mix and match the 6 factions correctly you will also recieve a bonus to your hero stats. The factions which include Fortress, Abyss, Shadow, Forest, Dark and Light have percentage bonuses against each other. Also, your heroes can have their abilities upgraded into stronger froms with the loot from levels while equipment can also be used to empower them further. To earn great rewards you will need to plan ahead and use your resources efficiently. As your team strength increases you will discover that the rewards from stages can be automatically collected to severely cut down on the engagement required to advance.

Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Register for a 5-Star Hero

The strongest characters in the game are 5-star heroes and they are not easy to add to your team. However the game gives you the opportunity to get one free by registering your account which simply involves providing a working email address. The 5-star hero you will be given is Norma who your team will be able to depend on until you reach mid-game.

Log In Daily

Try to log in daily as the game gives generous rewards to active players. The rewards you are given vary and there is always a chance it will include 5-star shards which enable you to summon a 5-star hero for free when you have collected enough of them. Although the 5-star hero you recieve in exchange for the shards may not be the best options they are still going to better than any 4-star heroes you may have on your team.

Daily Quests

You can gain easy resources and experience by regularly completing all the daily quests. You will find these easy to complete and only take you a few minutes.

Choosing 4-Star Heroes

Until you are able to put together a 5-star lineup you will need to focus on getting the best 4-star heroes you can. Before you invest in any of them though you need to read their stats and abilites carefully to determine which ones to keep. Don't bother with heroes that are three stars or less as their primary purpose is just for crafting and upgrading. To maintain balance the game regularly buffs and nerfs heroes so make sure you pay attenton to updates to see if any 4-star heroes have become suitable for your team.

Equipment

After you log in and complete the daily quests you need to focus on Campaign mode as this is where you will be able to get various equipment for your heroes. The further into Campaign mode you progress the better the rewards will be. If there is a specific equipment you are after you need to set the campaign mission to a stage that drops what you are looking for. The other option is to take what equipment you loot to the blacksmith to craft better items for you.

Save Diamonds

The game's premium currency is Diamonds and to get them without spending real money takes time. Therefore you need to insure you hang onto every diamond you earn so you can save up enough for 10 Heroic Summons. Waiting until you have enough diamonds for 10 Heroic Summons increases your chances of getting a 5-star hero. If you log in daily you should be able earn enough diamonds in just a few days.

Prophet Tree

Use the Prophet Tree, it unlocks at Level 25 and allows you the chance to summon 4-star and 5-star hero shards or completed heroes. To have a an opportunity to do so you will need a Prophet Orb, these are obtained by completing Tavern quests or by purchasing them through the marketplace where one Prophet Orb can be purchased per day for 500 gems. Although the odds of getting a 5-star hero are low, in the event that you are lucky, you will ge able to get a hero from the faction you need.
