They say that modern age smartphones have the computing power - a hundred thousand times (if not in the millions) stronger than all of NASA’s computers combined in the 60’s, to which they’ve used to send man to the moon. With all this computing power at the palm of your hands (probably surfing the net to pass the time like now that you’re reading this), don’t you feel like being able to do something more with your phone? Well, what about using all that computing power to run a town of your own? Or better yet, organize and command an elite team of heroes to fight for you?
In that case, Kairosoft might just have the thing for you. Well, sort of. Welcome the game, Legends of Heropolis. A simulation game where you basically run the small town of Heropolis, and have it thrive with happy citizens and visitors by building the economy as well as protecting them from the possible threat of invasion. This is done by means of establishing assortments of buildings and structures to attract people to move in to your town and promote different services to attract visitors from the neighboring towns. Now on top of all this city-managing you’ll be doing, you’ll also have to protect your citizens from a collection of invading villains – which is uniquely done in this game by creating your very own roster of zentai-themed heroes to fight for you.
If you share a particular fondness to the developer’s collection of games, this one’s sure to impress. The game’s got great volume of content (which equates to lots and lots of hours in the game), nicely designed pixel graphics (typical of Kairosoft’s style), quite a bit of complexity thrown in its gameplay (but still highly enjoyable), and the best part is that it’s free (yep a free game from Kairosoft). And since the game is free, expect some minor changes in the usual flow of things as one would normally expect from similar titles from the same developer, as they’ve shifted away from their usual business model. But hey, free is still free!
