Finding Coins and Cash
Hidden thoughout Luigi's Mansion 3 is money in the form of coins and cash and the best way to find them is to ransack the Hotel. When looking around a hotel room ineract with anything that displays an X above it, more often than not this will be opening drawers and cambinets. Aside from that you need to pull off curtains, rugs, posters, tablecloths, and posters to find the hidden money.
Use your Poltergust Shelves
When searching for money in the mansion make sure you use your Poltergust to search shelves that are lined with anything from towels to wrenches. The vacuum when you do this will suck everything towards you and it will sometimes reveal money hidden behind these objects.
Suck up Piggy Banks
As you search the hotel you will come across Piggy banks which if you suck up with your Poltergust and then blow air out will launch them across the room so they shatter reavealing plenty of coins, cash, and a gold bar.
Kill Shiny Pests
Shiny pests such as rats, spiders, and bats offer the best monetary rewards in Luigi's Mansion 3 so when one crosses your path make sure you take aim and either stun them with your Strobulb or suck them up with the Poltergust. Doing so will make them burst into confetti which will result in you earning coins and cash. These shiny pests only appear for a limited amount of time so if you fail to kill it when you first see it they will be gone forever.
Get More Health
In Luigi's Mansion 3 you get more health by finding the hearts that are hidden in the hotel. Like the coins and cash you need to search every nook and cranny of the hotel rooms to find them. Interact with anything that displays an X above it and use the Poltergust to dislodge things as you search.
Getting Past Obstacles
When you encounter an obstacle that is blocking your way you can usually move it by doing one of three things. 1) Solve a puzzle. 2) Use the Poltergust to get it out of your way. 3) Switch to Gooigi and use his special abilities.
Finding the Pulterpup
If you can't figure out where to go next in Luigi's Mansion 3 and you have lost the Pulterpup for whatever reason you can always track down this ghost dog by using the Dark Light and shining it around the room so you illuminate his ghostly footprints. The Dark Light can also be used to see what walls or doors a ghost you are hunting down went through and reveal objects that have turned invisible.
Finding Boos
Boos are invisible ghosts who hide around the hotel in cabinets, pots, and anything else they can find. A tell-tale sign that you are in the same room as one will be hearing ominous organ music. When you get near one your Switch console will vibrate. Once you have discovered a Boos hiding place you need to shine the Polstergust's Dark Light to make it appear and then use the same ghost-catching techniques you would use on a regular ghost.
Golden Bones
Once you reach a certain point in the game you will be able to able to spend the money you have found in the hotel on helpful items in Professor E. Gadd's lab. One of the items you should always consider are Golden Bones as they will allow Luigi to come back to life if he runs out of health. They are particularly useful when you are facing a large group of ghosts or going up against bosses.
How to Defeat Bosses
Each of the bosses in Luigi's Mansion 3 has its own weakness, once you have figured it out what you need to exploit it to defeat them. You will usually find that the new skill you have just learned will be what you need to use during your current boss battle.
