Go in option-emulator-save type-Flash 128k-reset
If you are playing in PC I think I can help...
I had the same problem. I solved it by suspending the game. It worked for me but I am not sure it will work in game boy.
First..... Change the save type 0f 64k.... Then save the game.... After that.... Change the save type of 128k... Save the game again.... After that, reset.... (it will completely erase data) hope you like it...
Get a rom copy of Pokemon fire red, And make a profile, Get past the intro bits to a saving point. Save the game. Go into your folder containing that save file. Rename the .sav file the exact same name as the dragon ball z team training rom. Same exact spelling and any extra characters for example: Dbz-team-training.gba so rename your .sav file Dbz-team-training.sav and put the .sav with the .gba or rom file in the same folder and it should load the Pokemon fire red save file that you renamed dbz team training. Perfectly lol
