IV. Tomb of Oedon

In this place you will find Father Gascoigne whom you must battle. He is a hunter as well so don’t be surprised if he has similar moves like yours. You may shoot at him which will stun him. When you’ve consumed half of his life, he will transform into a beast which makes him stronger and which makes his attacks longer too. Make use of the openings Father Gascoigne provides to hit him well and hard.

If you are having difficulty, you may use the Tiny Music Box Viola gave you to stun Father Gascoigne. Once you’ve killed Father Gascoigne, you will receive a Tomb of Oedon Key. Soon after the battle, a lantern also appears which can bring you to the hunter’s Dream.

After the heated battle, go up the stairs at the end of the graveyard. There you will find a corpse with a red-jeweled brooch. (Note: You may either choose to return the brooch to Viola or use it to fortify your Weapons in the hunter’s Dream.)

After defeating Father Gascoigne, go back to Viola and return the red-jewelled Brooch. While on your way to Viola, you may talk again to Gilbert. At this point Gilbert will tell you that the Great Bridge is the only way to the cathedral ward. But since that place seems locked at the end, Gilbert may advise you to take the aqueduct under the bridge to find the Cathedral Ward.

After returning the red-jewelled brooch to Viola, who bursts into tears after, go back to the Tomb of Oedon and then use the key to the gate at the top of the stairs. You will then find an entrance to the bottom of an aqueduct where you will find a ladder which you could climb. Once reaching the top of the ladder you will find a library where you will find a chest that will give you the Blood Gem Workshop Tool. Take the spiral staircase and open the door which will bring you to the cathedral ward.
