As a player progresses in their skills within the game, they can change the level of their competition at any time. By doing this, AI Opponents will become all the more skilled and all the more difficult to defeat. Outside of looking to continue their own fighting growth, increasing the level of difficulty doesn't do much more for a player. However, if a player defeats a Grand Prix at Level 4 Difficulty or harder, they will get a special surprise at the end of such.
