Levi Ackerman

Levi Ackerman was a character in the manga and anime series Attack on Titan. Levi was a captain in the Survey Corps and widely known as 'humanity's strongest soldier'. Although he had a harsh and unsocial personality, he was well-respected by his subordinates, who knew that he cared about their lives. Levi was the squad leader of the Special Operations Squad within the Survey Corps.

Levi was the son of Kuchel Ackerman, a prostitute who worked in the Underground and became pregnant by one of her clients. Levi was then raised by his uncle, Kenny Ackerman, who taught his nephew everything he knew. Levi became a notorious thug in the underworld, but eventually left that life behind to join the Survey Corps. Initially he was at odds with Erwin Smith, the supreme leader of the Survey Corps, but eventually he ended up becoming one of his most trusted men.

Levi has a well-developed muscular physique as a result of extensive vertical maneuvering equipment usage. He has short, straight black hair and a youthful looking face with intimidating dull gray eyes with dark circles under them. Levi was usually expressionless or frowning, giving a cold impression to others. His manner of speaking tended to be very blunt, even insulting. Levi had several scars across his face, including one across his right eye, and was missing both the index and middle fingers on his right hand as the result of a close-encounter explosion from a Thunder Spear set off by Zeke Yeager. Levi was most often seen wearing his Survey Corps uniform.
