Multi-Player Achievements and Play
A stand-out feature in this entry in the AC Series is the multi-player side of the game, which includes a selection of Achievements that compliment the game, and that really require no special effort on the part of the player to unlock, as they will for the most part unlock as a regular part of play. These Achievements include:
Achiever (10 GS) Complete a Challenge
Explorer (20 GS) Finish a session of each game mode
Looking Good (10 GS) Customize a PERSONA (Level 10 Required)
Make the Headlines (30 GS) Obtain 13 different Accolades
Mastering the Art (30 GS) Earn the INCOGNITO bonus
Tactician (30 GS) Score at least 2505 points in a session
The Way I Like It (20 GS) Edit your TEMPLAR PROFILE to change your title, emblem, and patron
There Is No I in Team (20 GS) Win a session of a team mode
Tools of the Templar (10 GS) Purchase your first ABILITY in the Abstergo Store (Level 5 Required)
True Templar (20 GS) Reach level 20
You can unlock all or some of these before playing the Campaign Mode of the game -- and playing in the MP areas might be a very good idea if you have not had much experience with the strategy and fighting styles in the game, as it allows you to experience them without having consequences that impact your story play. Completing the multi-player side is purely optional but recommended.
Taking up the Multi-Player Challenges
--== Multi-Player Modes ==--
To unlock the Explorer Achievement, in addition to completing the Introductory Session I & II Lessons you must also complete at least one session in each of the following Multi-Player modes (basically you will need to rank up in each).
In addition to being a lot of fun, your completion of specific goals in each type will earn you money points that can be spent in the Abstergo Store to purchase Abilities Set Items, Templar Profile Items, and Customization Items, some of which directly relate to other Achievements in the Multi-Player side of the game.
Free for All Mode
-- Assassinate
-- Corruption
-- Deathmatch
-- Steal the Artifact
-- Wanted
Team Objectives Mode
-- Artifact Assault
-- Chest Capture
-- Escort
-- Manhunt
To obtain a rank in each of these you do not actually have to win the match, you just need to score some points and finish the session completely. Note that some of these require two sessions, one for each "side" of the mode. Completing both sides is required to rank up. Be aware that in addition to scoring points at the completion of each session you can actually score points inside the sessions for doing special actions.
