On my crystal I need to get past sudowoodo but how do I battle it and get past him???

I have Pokemon silver, but it should be the same on crystal... You have to talk to a lady in the flowershop in Goldenrod after beating Whitney. She'll give you a squirt bottle. Go to sudowoodo and click on it, then say yes when it asks if you want to water it. You can knock it out if you like, but it's the only one in the game, so I recommend catching it.
You have to go to a tiny house in goldenrod and find a squirtlebottle
After beating Whitney, go into the flower shop and talk to the women. After, go to sudowudo and talk to the little girl that is there. Then, go back to the flower shop and talk to the little girl again. Then, talk to the other women and you will get the squirt bottle! Go back to sudowudo and press a on it. Click yes and you can now battle it!
Yes, what they all said. You should be able to find a girl near the tree somewhere... She'll walk off. Go back to the flower shop and talk to both of them. Get the squirtbottle. Go back to the tree and save. Press A and you'll battle it. ONE RECOMMENDATION: CATCH IT!!! Save before you try to catch it so you have more than one shot at it. It took me about 3 tries to get it. I think I accidently knocked it out or something... But I caught it in the end.
Ok you nee to go to godenrod and get the water bottel from the lady and wet sudowoodo and then he will battle you.
First, you need to have beaten Whitney and have obtained the Plain Badge. Then, go to the Flower Shop in Goldenrod City and talk to the little girl. She will give you the Squirtbottle. Take that to the tree (Sudowoodo) blocking the way to Route 37. Water the Sudowoodo using the Squirtbottle and you will enter a battle with it. WARNING: This is the only Sudowoodo in the game, so save before battling it so that you may have multiple chances at catching it. Good Luck!
Once you beat Whitney she tends to forget to give you the badge so leave and come back to remind her. Then you can confront the flower lady next to the gym to recieve the water then head to soodowoodo to collect him as well
