You do not have to purchase the full version if you just want to test out the Defense Zone 2 to see if it is for you. There are lite versions available for both Defense Zone 2 and the original Defense Zone game. You can download those and check them out for free before you invest real money on the full versions.

To build and upgrade the Turrets costs money, this can be earned by defeating enemies. The amount you earn is dependant on the level of opposition you defeat. Lower-level enemies will earn you less money than higher-level eneimes.

Each mission has its own graphical style, ranging from arctic to jungle.
How Long do you have to Set Up your Initial Defenses?
You have as long as you need to position your initial defenses when you start the game.
Can you Postition your Turrets Anywhere?
Turrets can only be placed in key areas of each map and have limited range, but you can increase both range and power by upgrading them.
How Much Strategy is Involved?
It might seem adequate to just throw towers all over the place, but that is the recipe for failure. You will find yourself weakly defended and without the space or money to build new Turrets.
What is the best strategy?
Each enemy type has strengths and weaknesses which you exploit by mixing up your turret arrangements. You want to be sure that you are constantly damaging enemies, and that you have adequate ‘kill zones’ to guard against multiples of the same enemy.
How do you Know where the Enemy will Attack?
Before you start a mission the routes taken by the enemy are highlighted. This is indicated by footprints for ground forces and flighpaths for airstrikes.
How Often are the Enemy Waves?
Enemy waves are separated by about 10 seconds, but you can trigger the next wave manually if you wish.
What Turret is Best for Dealing with Troops?
The Sub-Zero turret that sprays liquid nitrogen is good for dealing with troops as it slows down their movement speed by 30%.
Can you Speed Up the Last Stragglers of a Wave?
Just press the 'fast forward' button to double the speed of the game.
