Sequence 3, Memory 01: The Prisoner

On the waterfront on the docks are a pair of cages with prisoners on them -- one of the prisoners asks you to locate the key to the cage, promising to repay you for helping him to escape... 

The Guard who holds the key to the cages is somewhere to the east of the docks a short distance away and, as you approach you will see the green-marked search area, but you will also see that the guards inside it are all red-dots, which means that they will attack you on-sight!  You are going to need to be half-thief half-ninja for this memory...

So to start head to the building to the right and go up on the roof for a nice vantage point overlooking the guard area -- you may need to assassinate a rooftop guard here for security -- and there is a treasure chest up here near the hiding spot so go ahead and empty that, right?

Using Eagle Vision ID the guard -- he is walking a pattern on the upper level of the area and the easiest way to get to him undetected is to go via the water -- so jump into the water, swim around to the docks and carefully get out, being sure to check both to the left (east) and right (west) so you do not get spotted.  When the coast is clear (heh, literally when the coast is clear) scape the wall but do not go over the top.  Instead pause hanging below its edge and wait until the target is walking away from you towards the other side.

Jump over and then quickly move up to him, steal the key, and then just as quickly turn around and retreat jumping back into the water.   Swim to the docks outside of the search zone, then return to the cage to free the thief and get a CS in which you recruit him into the Assassin's Guild!

This was actually a very important memory because it unlocks the Faction Challenges, which we are going to deal with next.  Each of the Factions in the game have a set of Challenges grouped into a collection of disparate tasks that, when completed,  unlock that challenge and a special reward.  The reward varies, sometimes it is a weapon, sometimes it is a skill.

This is important because one of the rewards is connected to an Achievement -- assuming you are interested in that sort of thing -- and you will recall that we just completed the main Faction Memories for the Thief and Mercenary Factions -- though technically I do not think we actually had to do that to unlock the Challenges, still it is good that we did, because that is another chunk of Synchronization just as these are!

So well done with this memory, good on ya for getting it 100% and now let's tackle the Challenges!
