S7 M3: The Renegade

Sequence 07, Memory 03 -- The Renegade

To achieve 100% Synchronization for this mission you must not allow Janos' health to fall below 51% at any time during the mission.

This is another very short mission -- but bear in mind that in addition to Riflemen one of the enemy you will be facing is a Janissary -- which means you need to fight them the way that you normally would a Janissary, getting in close to get under their armor.

Head for the marker and, as you approach, you trigger a CS with Dilara in which you observe her watching the scene below...  The first challenge here is the four Riflemen who are separated by a fair bit of distance -- you want to take each of the four out without alerting the others or any other Guards to your presence, so either air-assassination or Ninja-like kills are the order of the day.

Once you have these four taken out you want to approach the target from above and do an air-assassination on Shahkulu (the target) -- your first attack will very badly injure him, but amazingly he is not dead yet!

As you watch, having delivered a very sharp blade to his chest from an air-attack, he sits up and then climbs to his feet!  Despite the fact that you witnessed his epilogue CS -- which only plays when a target is dying --  after which he is back on his feet and the battle is back on!

The battle is back on, yes, but now you have to deal with his henchmen as well as Shahkulu -- and really it is a good idea to get the henchmen out of the way by killing them because they really do make a nuisance of themselves.  Now that they are no longer interfering with you, it is time to knock him down and deliver the coup de grâce so that you officially kill him (again) and so end the mission. 

If you have not already purchased the weapons you plan to request, the Animus Data Fragments, and the four books, you should seriously consider doing that now because after this mission (once you start the next one) you no longer have the option of doing any of that as things move along in a scripted fashion from there on out.

As pointed out above this is a relatively short mission.  When you get the 100% synchronization notice the mission is officially completed, so well done!
