Special Moves

Special Attacks are unique to each weapon type and will become available after meeting specific conditions. Each weapon can have three levels of special attacks with their own effects and boosts. Once activated, the battle music background will change and all characters in your party will have the bonus effects for the duration of the music.

The boosts received by your allies by using special moves can be stacked from the boosts given by other special moves, not from other sources.

You can customize a special move's name and dialogue. You can also send these moves for your friends to summon and use!

Parts

Parts are additional effects you can assign to a special attack. You can unlock parts as you upgrade shops in the Norende Village Restoration mini-game. Each special attack can have up to four parts. For the list of all parts and their effects, follow this link.

Swords

LV1. Hack and Slash

Brave 10 times

Lowers target's P.Def by 25% then attack five times with 0.6 times the power of a conventional attack.
All allies' hit count raised by 20% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%

LV.2 Air Splitter

Brave 20 times

Deals double damage of a conventional attack to all enemies.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

LV3. Sonic Wave

Brave 30 times

Attack one enemy with wind for six times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

Axes

LV.1 Grand Strike

Defeat 5 enemies with physical attacks

Attack all enemies for 1.5 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' P.Def is raised by 20% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

LV.2 Maelstrom

Defeat 10 enemies with physical attacks

Attack one enemy five times with 0.8 the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' hit count is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%

LV3. Gigaton Swing

Brave 15 times

Attack one enemy with earth for six times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' P.Def is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

Spears

LV.1 Horizon

Inflict physical damage on 10 enemies

Attack one enemy for three times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' Critical Rate is raised by 300% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 1000%

LV.2 Overpower

Inflict physical damage on 20 enemies

Attack one enemy six times for 0.6 times the damage of a conventional attack, with a high chance of inflicting paralysis.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

LV.3 Megiddo Flame

Inflict physical damage on 30 enemies

Attack all enemies with fire for five times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

Rods

LV.1 Piercing Bolt

Use magic 10 times

Attack one enemy for 1.5 times the damage of a conventional attack, ignoring the target's defense.
All allies' M.Atk is raised by 20% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

LV.2 Withering Ripple

Use magic 20 times

Lower all enemies' Physical, Magic Attack and Defense by 15% for four turns.
All allies' M.Atk is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for M.Atk is 150% while the lower limit for P.Def and M.Def is 75%.

LV.3 Holy Weapon

Use magic 30 times

Attack all enemies for 5 times the damage of a conventional attack, dealing additional damage to demonkind foes.
All allies' M.Atk is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%

Staves

LV.1 Rejuvenation

Heal 10 times

Heal all allies by a massive amount.
All allies' healing magic is amplified by 100% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%

LV.2 Rejuvenation

Heal 20 times

Raise Physical, Magic and Defense of all allies by 25% for 4 turns.
All allies' speed is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for P.Atk, M.Atk, P.Def, M.Def and Speed is 150%.

LV.3 Divine Light

Heal 30 times

Attack one enemy for 7 times the damage of a conventional attack, dealing additional damage to undead foes.
All allies' M.Attack is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%.

Daggers

LV.1 Infinity

Use items 5 times.

Attack one enemy 5 times with 0.7 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' hit count is raised by 20% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%.

LV.2 Blade Storm

Use items 10 times.

Attack one enemy 15 times with 0.3 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' hit count is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%.

LV.3 Cross Divide

Use items 15 times.

Attack one enemy 10 times with 0.7 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' hit count is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%.

Bows

LV.1 Maximum Draw

Exploit element/family weakness 5 times with physical attacks

Attack one enemy for 3 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' critical rate is raised by 300% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 1000%.

LV.2 Rapid Fire

Exploit element/family weakness 10 times with physical attacks

Attack one enemy with fire five times with 0.8 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' hit count is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%.

LV.3 Angelic Pillar

Exploit element/family weakness 15 times with physical attacks

Attack all enemies with light for 3 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' M.Def is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%.

Katana

LV.1 Moonshadow

Default 5 times

Attack one enemy double the damage of a conventional attack, with a high chance of stunning the target for several turns.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 20% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%.

Default 10 times

Attack all enemies with water double the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' Critical Rate is raised by 900% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 1000%.

LV.3 Petal Swirl

Default 15 times

Attack one enemy five times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' Speed is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%.

Knuckles

LV.1 Moonbeam

Inflict critical damage 3 times

Attack one enemy five times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 20% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%.

LV.2 Ascendant Palm

Inflict critical damage 6 times

Attack one enemy 16 times with 0.3 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' Hit Count is raised by 35% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 200%.

LV.3 Thunderburst

Inflict critical damage 9 times

Attack one enemy with lightning for 5 times the damage of a conventional attack.
All allies' P.Atk is raised by 50% for the duration of the music. Upper limit for this is 150%.
