Starting Story
You will be riding the taxi with Kapp'n. He will ask some questions which will determine some aspects of your whole gameplay so take note of these details.
Initially, he will ask for the time and date. This will default to the current time and date settings of your DS. If you want to change this beforehand, change the settings in your DS first before starting a new game. Then he will make a comment about the rain outside. You will be prompted to respond to this comment, and your response to this and 2 other further questions will affect how your appearance will be in your playthrough.
He will ask your name next. Afterwards, he will ask whether you like "burly" or "cute". Your answer to this will determine your gender. Choosing "burly" will make your character a boy; while choosing "cute" will make your character a girl. Then you will be asked to confirm the gender, if you opt to change the previous gender you've picked, you will get girlish eyes if you're a boy and boyish eyes if you're a girl.
Next up, he will ask the name of your town. Then he will ask why did you come to this town. This will be the second appearance-determining question. Now the taxi driver will ask you why you have decided to move to the town. Answering this will affect the location of your home, as your location will be close to the place that you have answered.
Finally, Kapp'n will ask you if you have the money enough to move in. Answering this is very important as this will be the final appearance-determining question.
