Once you’re in the temple, save at the adventurer because there’s a boss battle ahead. If you have some Special Move Parts, take note which ones inflict fire and water since you’ll need both elements to exploit the weaknesses of the next boss. Your overall party should be at least LV20 and all your gears should be updated already before attempting this. Once ready, head to the Wind Crystal.

You have to concentrate your attacks on a single head, hitting it with the corresponding element it’s weak against. The two-headed beast’s Blazzard and Deep Freeze can hit the entire party and cause considerable damage twice per turn. Aside from your White Mage, one of your characters should be able to act as a backup healer as necessary. You have to keep everybody’s HP above 75% and your healer(s) should cast buffs to minimize damage as necessary. Once the first head is down, be wary of the other’s head’s Brave move. It will continue using multi-target attacks which will quickly decimate your party if you’re not healed enough. Keep attacking while healing until the beast is down to half of its HP. Once in that level, you can go on full brave for all your characters to finish it off. |
After the battle, you’ll have to perform the rite to awaken the Wind Crystal. Keep pressing X until the Crystal is fully awakened and purified. Once done, your support ability cost limit will increase by one after the scene. A new party chat will be available as well. (Proof, Not Promises) Leave the Temple and head back to town.
Once back in town, watch the next scenes. After the scene, a new party chat will be available. (The Wind Returns) Leave the town for a short scene. Once outside the world map, you’ll have another party chat. (The Minister’s Generousity) Before continuing on with the main quest, you can complete two sub-scenarios which will unlock four new job classes for your party. For the individual walkthroughs of these sidequests, consult this page..
Once you’re done with the Sub-scenarios and unlocking four new job classes, you’re off to the next location. Head back to the airship and watch the following scenes. With Eschalot’s skystone destroyed, you have to choice but to travel by foot.
Head to the northeast portion of the land and enter the Miasma Woods.
