The Museum

Blathers is the curator for the town's museum and you have the task to fill up the museum yourself with important artifacts. Insects, Fossils, paintings and Fishes are the available exhibits that can be displayed. Each type of exhibit only has specific items that can be used for display. Creatures like insects and fishes are needed to be caught first and donated afterwards. After donation of the first kind of that creature, you can sell off any additional animals for profit. Fossils have to be dug up and you can find up to 3 of them each day. You can also donate paintings from Redd to be used for display, however he can sell you some forged fake copies so bear that in mind.

Donation

You can only donate any kind of item once. Blathers will be helpful in accepting your donations, giving detailed information, or updating you on your fossilized creature collection.

Check a Fossil

Choose this if you want to donate a found fossil. Blathers will identify your fossil according to the time of the examination itself. If you do not like the fossil he tells you, you can reset the game but make sure you have saved already before you do.

Exhibits

Your option if you want to view all the donations you have sent to the museum. Very helpful in collecting stuff.
