Upgrades - Game

Game

These upgrades are permanent and persist through playthroughs and cities. They can only be purchased using bux and have a good impact on the game. It is a good idea to save for these upgrades and spend on these rather than the other expensive Bux purchases like the special buildings.

Day Trading

Increases the amount of time allowed for the bank to save money while the game is closed allowing for longer periods of time where you can let the game earn money while you do other things.

Day Trading is recommended if you only have a few minutes to spare playing the game and you spend more time having the game closed.

Road to Riches

The time between coins appearing over cars is shortened by a few seconds.

Not recommended since car bonuses are later outclassed by plane and boat bonuses. Only get if you are really active in collecting each resource that pops up.

Smart Grid

Increases the earnings from the power earned per Building. It isn't recommended since it isn't high enough to begin with.

Auto sale

Decreases the cost of cars. It is cheap and later on, active vehicle earnings are a big boost to your income. unlocking this makes starting over a Bit easier.

Aerospace Research

Same with the above but with planes. It is recommended if you have the spare bux because planes are expensive.

Dry Dock

Same with the previous ones but if you think the others are worthwhile, definitely get this as boats cost way more than the previous vehicles.

Atomic Timekeeping 5m

Increases the amount that double time will remain active. This is a good choice if you don't plan to spend on the game and obviously, not recommended if you spend on the game and get the infinite double time boost. It gives you more time to do things while under the effect of Double Time. A good amount is around half an hour for watching an ad.

Market Gains

The rate at which the bank saves money increases by a few percentages.

Not recommended as the percentages are small. Only get if you have bux to spare and really intend on doing a more hands-off, approach to the game.

Meter Maids

Increases the chances of large bonuses appearing with cars. Only get if you are an active player. You may also want to hold off on this and get the ones for the plane and / or boat ones since they yield greater rewards.

Regular bux rewards is 2. large is 10.

Auto Pilot

Same with the Meter Maid upgrade, increases the chance of planes appearing with a large bonus.

Regular bux rewards is 6. large is 50.

Sunken Treasure

Similar to the two previous ones, but probably the best in value. Boats give the largest active bonuses. Most notably, in bux rewards.

Regular bux rewards is 10. large is 100.

Keeper of Keys

Increases the rate at which you earn keys used to prestige which in turn, increases all further earnings by the number of keys you currently hold.

Real Estate License

Reduces the lot costs. This is helpful later on in the game when lots in the bigger cities cost a lot. This shortens the time needed to save up to unlock future lots.

construction Overtime

Decreases construction time by a set percentage. Not recommended due to the fact that simply waiting for the Building to finish construction is fine. There is an autobuild feature anyway that builds / upgrades the lots for you so no need to really watch it like a hawk.
