Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is a free-to-play battle royale video game that is a part of 2022's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II but does not require purchase of the aforementioned title. We have a collection of cheats and tips that will help you to progress in this combat game which is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 takes place on an entirely new map called Al Mazrah that combines desert combat with sprawling cities. Along with dozens of new areas and points of interest to explore, Al Mazrah also includes a new version of Warzone's Gulag, which will require players to fight their way out in 2v2 matches.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why it is essential that you learn the map and why it is important that you choose your primary weapon carefully.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 features a brand-new map named Al Mazrah for players to explore and battle on. There are at launch 18 places of interest on this map to visit. This installment of the Call of Duty franchise introduces a new water combat option that utilizes the lakes and rivers and there is a brand-new gulag to master.
In this 2v2 experience you can either work against one another in a deathmatch with a predefined loadout, or together and against an AI Jailer to escape and return to the battle royale.
In order to learn the new map it is recommended that you try and land in a different area for each drop. It is important that you explore all the new areas on the map as knowing an area intimately can be the difference between staying alive and getting killed during a firefight.
The way you acquire loadouts in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is different from previous games in the series. Rather than buy them outright, you can purchase your primary weapon, with the rest of your loadout coming from Strongholds or Loadout drops much later in the match.
This means because you obtain your weapon before the rest of your loadout you need to choose it carefully. An Assault rifle like the TAQ-56 is always a good choice as this type of weapon is effective in both the early and late games.
In Call Of Duty: Warzone 2 Strongholds are AI-controlled buildings that appear in set locations around the map of Al Mazrah which you can mount an attack on to gain high-tier loot and your full loadout. Keep in mind that other players will also be wanting to do the same.
The best strategy is to let them begin the attack and then quickly target them before they can reap the rewards.
You will always have an advantage if you are aiming down at your enemies as opposed to aiming up at them so always be on the lookout for tall buildings and mountainous peaks which you can use to keep an eye on the opposition. This strategy is particularly effective in the late game as it gives you a better chance of catching other players running for the circle.
As you explore the map of Al Mazrah you will find UAVs, Recon Drones, or Portable Radars. Make sure you use these straight away as soon as you find them as they can quickly reveal if you're being followed by an enemy, or if you're coming up on one.
All three of these tools are powerful items for learning your enemy's whereabouts, so make sure you take advantage of them.
