After defeating Amelia and watching the cut scene, you will be equipped with a password. Exit the church and head down the stairs until you reach a plaza where two Giant Gravekeepers are. Walk past the resting Giant Gravekeeper and head to the small room after a bridge. At one side of the bridge, you will find Alfred, who earlier talked to you about his mission to defeat the Vileblood. Instead proceed to the locked door down the stairs where a voice will demand a password. Once the door opens, move on while picking up Madman’s Knowledge from a Gatekeeper.

Head towards the bridgeway where you will be lead to a graveyard.

You will also find an abandoned House where you will find a Blood Beast Pellet.By the house there will be a weak platform where you may fall. After falling from this trap, you will be led to an area with several huts. Entering one of the houses will give you Pungent Blood Cocktail.

Pass through the small gate where a trap is. At the side of the small gate, there is a path up a house with a dog kennel. Going up will lead you to an abandoned building where you will get find a Blue Elixir. Right beside the house behind the wooden gate, there will be Rabid Dogs and some Afflicted Yharnamites. In one of the houses you will pick up a Beast Roar .

You will also find a wooden bridge nearby which looms over an oil-filled lake (which glistens) where Crawling Lanky Beasts are waiting. As you move ahead, there will be a cave where a small gate awaits.

At the top of a path there is a cannon in front of a house that has wooden platforms leading downwards and guarded by a Tentacle/Snake-Head Yharnamite. Go to the bottom where you will find a door leading to a bridgeway outside. You may also find an elevator which will bring you to the top of the mill.

Through a small cave, you will be led to a large poisoned lake. Stepping on the lake will poison you so be sure to step on the sides or have a lot of Antidotes ready. There will be Giant Mummies here and some Creepy Worms on the lake so be careful and try your best to lure them out of the lake to avoid further poisoning. There will be several corpses around that may give you Frozen Coldblood.

Side: Returning to iosefka’s Clinic

At the other end of the lake, there will be a path to another cave. As you walk through the path, there will be a ladder which you can climb and which will bring you to and another ladder which will bring you to back to central Yharnam. Switch the lever so you may proceed to iosefka’s Clinic via the rooftop and get the Cainhurst Summons, which you will use to get to the Forsaken cainhurst castle.

Upon arriving at iosefka’s Clinic, the lady doctor will demand that you leave. If you refuse to leave and continue to head up the stairs, you will have to battle Iosefka. If not, you may just leave her alone for now and continue bringing some NPCs here to her clinic for “safety”. You will also learn that every NPC you bring to Iosefka is turned into a monster after Iosefka performs some experiments at them.

Within iosefka’s clinic, there will be a chest which will give you Communion.

**After iosefka’s Clinic go back to the Forbidden Woods where the dog kennels are and climb the ladder behind to pick up Church Attire from the corpse.

Head past the wooden gate after defeating the enemies. There you will find a wooden bridge connecting several rooftops. You will also find a lake at the bottom where you may fight some Crawling Lanky Beasts. At one end of the lake you will be led back to the village earlier. At the other end of the oil-filled lake, there will be a cave to open a gate which will lead you back to the abandoned village earlier.

The other path brings you to another row of houses where a cannon will be firing at you. Hide inside the houses to avoid getting hit by the cannon. After defeating the Afflicted Yharnamite behind the cannon you will find a mill. Inside the mill, there will be a stairs leading down and where a Snake-Headed Beast waits.

Exploring around the insides of the mill will give you a cannon from a corpse. Once you get at the second level of the mill, there will be a path that will lead you to a rooftop where you will meet a man, kneeling before several corpses, who will ask for a safe haven. You may either refer him to iosefka or the cathedral ward. If you do refer him to a safe haven, he will grant you a Pungent Blood Cocktail. You may also choose to battle the Suspicious Beggar, he will transform into a beast.

After this, go back to the Forbidden Woods and explore the side of the Mill. There you will find a large headstone where several Crawling Snakes are. Take the path after the headstone upwards. There will be another headstone where you may pick up Madman's Knowledge from the corpse.

Continuing on will lead you to a path where a large clustered snake-monster is waiting. Watch out for this beast can spot you from afar and then throws a couple of venom shots - defeating him will give you Murky Blood Gemstone. As you move on you will pick up Clear Deep Sea behind another large Headstone. There will also be a path where a Giant Pig awaits and some more Crawling Beasts are too.

At the top of the path there will be a small gate fronting a large headstone. Pick up Clockwise Metamorphosis from the corpse.

At the end of the lake you will find an arch doorway where you will battle the Shadow of Yharnam. After defeating two of the three Shadow of Yharnam, Giant Snakes will be summoned for added challenge. After defeating all three of the Shadow of Yharnam, you will pick up Blood Rapture afterward.

Head towards the arch doorway and activate the lantern.
