Talk to the Sage in Yulyana Woods Needleworks and agree to do battle. Before starting the battle, his disciple, Mephilia will arrive. Barbarossa will also join the fray.

| Target Yulyana first since his conjuring ability can cause trouble as the battle drags on. You also have to worry about his Meteor. It will help having a tank here, preferably with the piracy job command so you can use Provoke. A tank with Red Muleta accessory equipped can also maintain the agro level of the enemies, giving the other three characters breathing space to set up the battle to your advantage. One good tank for this battle is a swordsmaster with shield, armor and helm, with Piracy job command. Piracy has Provoke that can get the agro from all enemies while the Swordmaster’s Free Lunch skill (No MP cost for two turns) will allow him/her to switch to full offensive by having free Amped Strikes while it is active. |
| Barbarossa will keep debuffing your characters so it will beneficial to have a Performer/ singing job command to help you keep up with the debuffs. Mephilia will use normal attacks for a few turns before using Susano-o which will deal heavy non-elemental damage to everyone in your team. Using Skull Bash and Defang on all enemies will also help reducing the damage they’ll deal. |
